Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 to hit the shops in October?

image

It’s only been a few weeks since Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet, but already the new Android gadget is available for pre-order. Likely to hit the shops soon after, it looks like Samsung is trying to sell as many tablets as possible before any possible sales restrictions following the South Korean’s legal battles with Apple.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is the latest tablet to hit the market. As the name hints, it features a compact 8.9-inch screen, proving slightly more portable than 10-inch rivals.

The Tab 8.9 runs Android, and just like its smartphone siblings – such as the Galaxy S II – it also gets Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface. There’s a dual-core processor powering the latest Galaxy, and there should be more than enough performance to cater for your everyday needs.

Despite only being announced a couple of weeks ago, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is already available for pre-order, and is set to go on sale in the US on October 16th. It had already been listed on Amazon, but now Samsung has announced the Tab for pre-order as well. Fingers crossed that it’ll be hitting the shops here at a similar time to (or before!) the US.
