All new BBC Homepage has officially launched in beta today

The BBC have recently given a few online services a brand new look and bought them into 2011 in style including a new BBC Radio homepage plus to name one more a spanking new BBC Radio 1 website. All are currently in the beta process at the moment but do look pretty awesome as they are!

New features inside the brand new BBC homepage include a new carousel interface making it easier to scan the available BBC online services on offer.

This is what Phil Fearnley, General Manager of News and Knowledge, BBC Future Media had to say about it all:

"We've made improvements progressively to the BBC homepage since it launched in 1997.

"The beta version launched today represents a real step change: we've rebuilt from first principles to deliver an intuitive experience which makes it easier for users to explore the wealth of BBC content on the web than ever before."

"The BBC homepage attracts over 9 million unique browsers a week across devices and the new page is designed to meet the challenge of serving this mass audience by showcasing the breadth of what we create on the web, whilst enabling the simple filtering which users have come to expect."

So go on why not test it out? You know you want to!
