HTC Sensation XE is HTC's first Beats Audio smartphone!

The Sensation XE is the latest Android smartphone from HTC, offering a 4.3-inch touchscreen display and speakers made by Beats Audio. With other features including a 1.5GHz processor, it has Samsung’s Galaxy S II firmly in its sights.

The HTC Sensation XE is the first handset to come to fruition. A reworked version of the regular Sensation, the XE gets a number of new features.

Although it doesn’t look like there’s anything special about the Sensation XE when it comes to storage space, you will be able to pick between versions with 8GB and 16GB microSD cards – enough for hundreds of your favourite albums.

The Beats Audio partnership sees an attractive and distinctive black and red design, and the changes aren’t just skin deep. There’s a new and faster 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and a higher capacity battery means you should be able to get more time between charges. Rounding off the changes is a more impressive pair of Beats-branded in-ear headphones are also bundled with the handset.

Set to hit the shops in September, prices for the HTC Sensation XE have yet to be announced.
