A new version of Football Manager is usually one of the highlights of the year for gamers who prefer sports titles, and Football Manager 2012 is the latest version to launch. It’s set to hit the shops on October 21st; join us after the break to find out more.

Football Manager 2012 lets you pick and manage a club from any one of 50 nations across the world. Pick your favourite players, and bring them to your favourite club, forcing troublesome or less effective members onto the bench or even out to different teams.

You’ll be in charge of training, dealing with management to sort out money issues, and trying to help out younger members of the team when they have problems.

Think you could have dealt with Wayne Rooney’s protracted contract issue better than Alex Ferguson? That you could have hung onto Cesc Fabragas or Nasri for Arsenal? Then Football Manager 2012 is the game for you, giving you the chance to try.
