Not content with being the dominant force when it comes to watching sports at home or in the pub, broadcaster Sky has got a trick up its sleeve that it hopes will see the man (or sports fanatic) of the house suddenly offer to do the weekly shop. The company is trying out a trolly-mounted iPad dock in specific Sainsburys stores, and it could be one of the most annoying inventions yet!

Samsung Wave phones at IFA 2011: A trio of Bada phones to suit all needs
Yesterday marked the first day of IFA 2011 – one of the biggest international trade shows – and Samsung was the first major company out of the blocks. The South Korean giant released a number of new products, with a trio of Bada 2.0-powered smartphones leading the line.
All new 4oD is rolled out from Channel 4
Channel 4 has finally thought its time that their catch-up service, 4oD is put back into the competition with a new look and feel which the broadcaster promises is much more than just an ordinary “catch-up” service.

Tetris makes a comeback on Android, and this time it's free!

Bad 3G coverage exposed by the BBC
Update.
The BBC undertook a survey around a month ago which tested 3G reception out and about around the UK. All you had to do was own an Android smartphone and download an app which was later criticised for eating up your juice. The makers, Epitiro later threw out a hotfix update to remove that minor issue.

Leaked onto the Internet today were press shots of HTC Radar now possibly longer called the HTC Omega. The smartphone comes intact with Windows’ new OS, Mango and this could be one of the smartphones that HTC unveil on September 1st.

Channel 4 is all set to relaunch its on-demand service at the end of the month, with 4oD getting a significant makeover.

Sony will release its first Android tablet, the Tablet S in the middle of next month. Sure, we love our Apple iPad but this Android tablet has all the hallmarks of being the one to steal the thunder from Apple.

BlackBerry Curve 9360 snapped up by Vodafone
Another day, another new BlackBerry. This time it is RIM’s latest addition to the Curve series of entry-level BlackBerry handsets. The early Curve ‘Berrys were a pretty sparse bunch with no 3G or wifi but the BlackBerry Curve 9360 looks like a much better deal.

Acer are to launch a smartphone or shall I say tablet next month featuring a Snapdragon processor and running on Android’s Gingerbread OS. The screen is massive measuring 4.8 inches which certainly takes on Dell’s Streak due to the screen size.
