It’s not been that long since we first saw photographs and specs of the Sony PlayStation Vita, but already the compact handheld has got a launch date. With a range of titles also decided on for the launch, it looks like being an exciting end to the year.
For serious games fans, the Sony PS Vita looks like being one of the greatest of the next-gen consoles. It features a glorious screen, and other features like a touch sensitive panel on the rear of the handheld help to set it apart from other devices.
It also features enough power to match full-sized gaming consoles, in a package small enough to take with you wherever you go.
The Sony PS Vita is set to hit the shops in Japan on December 17th. Fingers crossed that it’ll launch over here in the following month or two. You’ll be able to pick from 26 games initially, but Sony also claims that 100 titles will be available within the Vita’s ‘launch window’ – so hopefully to coincide with its launch in the UK.
