Another rugged phone from Samsung is on the way later this year. It is called the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2.

First off, BlackBerry start off with a name change. CEO Thorsten Heins announces a big change in the form of their name. They are no longer known as RIM but now BlackBerry.

The only current 4G network in the UK have today announced three new tariffs.

• No release date so far.

Sony are back for 2013 and they are bringing with them the Super Slim Xperia - a water and dustproof tablet running Android Jelly Bean.

• Apple are after new Siri.
• Are you distinct, recognisable and have wit?

3D TV is dead, well it is according to a top BBC controller

• 3D is a gimmick, 4K Ultra HD is the future.
• Google TV is the future.

A big man at the BBC says 3D TV is dead. Harsh! BBC North Controller, Mark Harrison is his name and position and he reckons after witnessing the new tech being unveiled at this year’s CES 3D no longer has a place in the world of technology anymore.

Google meet Facebook Graph Search

Facebook were in California last night to announce the next step for the social-networking site and that is Graph Search. Yep, no sign of a Facebook phone but instead a new feature to take on the all mighty Google.

MySpace is back and its all different

MySpace has not given up and have come back fighting with a whole new interface, it has now finally opened up to the public after several months of being in a private beta.

Instagram’s numbers are down

• Dropped from 16.35 million users to 7.81.
• Lack of Twitter support.

Instagram decided to update their terms and conditions last year, now they see the downfall.
