Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 goes AWOL following Apple injunction

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 was only announced last week, but already the compact tablet is facing issues. With Apple winning an injunction against the South Korean company, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 actually disappeared from the floor at IFA over the past few days, and also went AWOL from Samsung’s German website.

For tablet fans, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 could offer the perfect form factor. Smaller than the majority of rivals, yet still a lot more usable than devices like the Dell Streak 5, it strikes a great balance between size and portability.

Unfortunately, following all the legal wrangling between Apple and Samsung, it may be a while before we get to see the Galaxy Tab 7.7 again. Apple’s injunction blocks sales of the Tab 7.7 in Germany – and although the tablet sported a disclaimer stating “not for sale in Germany”, the tablets disappeared both at IFA and Samsung’s German website.

How Samsung gets on with the Galaxy Tab 7.7 in the rest of Europe and the US remains to be seen, but fingers crossed we manage to get our hands on one, as it looks like a great little tablet.
