Time for today’s post from elsewhere handpicked by me.
The Nokia Lumia 900 is fresh in the memory but Nokia may already have an upgrade planned. A Nokia user has uncovered the sighting of a Nokia Lumia 910. With the Nokia 808 PureView 41-megapixel phone failing to excite all but the most fanboy-ish Nokia fans, could a Nokia Lumia 910 make up for it?
The discovery was spotted as an option in a Remote Developer Access tool drop down menu listing a selection of handsets. Among them, a Nokia Lumia 910.
Up to now Nokia has yet to reveal anything about a Nokia Lumia 910, but if the Lumia 900 is anything to go by we can hope for a processor more powerful than the Lumia 900’s 1.4GHz processor, and an upgrade on the camera. Earlier rumours have suggested that Nokia is planning a new Lumia phone with a 12-megapixel camera. The Nokia Lumia 910 could be it.
MicroSD card support could also be a possibility. The new generation of Windows Phone 8 devices will have support for extra storage via memory card. Unlike the current line-up of Lumia phones.
Nokia has of course yet to officially announce the Nokia Lumia 910, so the above evidence is still worth taking with a pinch of salt, but with the 41-megapixel 808 PureView struggling to impress, Nokia needs something special up its sleeves.
The 808 PureView excited many with its photography skills, but soon got off to a bad start when it was revealed the device will sport the unpopular Nokia Belle operating system, and will only be available SIM-free for £500 after network providers refused to stock it.
If it does exist, what would you like to see in a Nokia Lumia 910 phone?
