Bose unveils VideoWave 2 HDTV with invisible surround sound

I’m out of the office today - here’s your Tech fix though.

Bose unveils VideoWave 2 HDTV with invisible surround sound

Audio master Bose has unveiled its new VideoWave 2 system. The new entertainment package from the audio experts includes a a full HDTV and a 16-speaker surround sound system that uses hidden speakers to radiate sound around the room.

Bose might be best known for its (excellent) audio equipment, but in the VideoWave 2 Bose introduces a new HDTV available in 46 and 55-inches, with sound Bose promises will be on par with its previous sound systems.

The system will achieve this using speakers mounted behind the TV screen that, despite being hidden away, are still capable of sharing room-filling surround sound to bring anything you watch to life.

Emitting big sound without the need for large speakers is one of Bose’s specialities, as seen in previous Bose audio systems such as the Bose Wave.

The Bose VideoWave 2 package also includes a handy iPod and iPhone dock, connectivity for up to six AV devices and a new click-pad RF remote control with a touch-sensitive click-pad and an on-screen interface.

Each system comes with a stand and wall brackets. The Bose VideoWave 2 is on sale now from £4,700 for the 46-inch version, and £5,500 for the 55-inch model. Any readers planning to own this bad boy?
