Don’t ever be lost indoors with Google indoors maps for Android

Google indoor maps for Android smartphones hits UK

Some like Google Maps and some don’t, well’s there a new addition coming and its called Google indoor maps at the moment only for Android devices though. It will work in various places such as shopping centres, train stations and airports in either London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Basically if you get lost that’s where it will come in handy just in case you can’t find anybody to ask. Tap it into Google Maps and you will be on your way.

It also is said to work in other large department stores such as London’s Harrods or Selfridges making getting lost exciting.

To use this new service open Google Maps and then zoom in on a location until you see a blue dot displaying an indoor floor plan of the place. You can just as easily go up floors and check-out your bearings before going anywhere.

Google say that this new feature will work  with over 40 UK venues including: Harrods, Museum of London, House of Fraser, O2 Arena, Wembley Stadium and also a number of UK airports in London, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham.
