No more Beats for HTC

image

Beats Audio headphones were bought into HTC smartphones to up the sound quality on Android smartphones. However news is now that the Taiwanese manufacturer will no longer provide that technology to their smartphones.

The company last year bought a $300 million dollar stake in Beats which converts to around £190 million in the UK.

The reason for this sudden announcement is because of a sales drop despite the added addition of Beats audio. The fact that these HTC smartphones contain Dr Dre Monster Beats Audio seems to make no different to us making it a waste of time and money for HTC.

It was first thought that they would bring out their own comparison to music on-demand giant, Spotify however I can’t see that happening some day!

HTC One S pre-orders pop up ahead of 5th April launch

On the positive, buy the new HTC One S and you will just catch the last of Beats Audio in HTC smartphones.
