Google announces a big event for October 29th

Google have sent out word encrypted press invitations to a special event being held on October 29th. It is speculated that this event will showcase Google’s latest developments in the Nexus smartphone.

Rumours suggest HTC could be involved somehow and that there may be a 32GB version of the Google Nexus 7 on the cards. Plus, a 10-inch Nexus is 10 also rumoured.

The invitation features a Google background with the very clever encrypted message “The playground is open’. Hmm…what could this mean?

The press conference will be available to watch on YouTube live at 10am ET (3pm UK time).
