Microsoft launch Office 2013

It is back, Microsoft’s next version of their Office suite. In the new release we see links with cloud systems and social media, two things which are getting bigger.

The full version is available to subscribed Office 365 users now.

Included in the new suite is Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook and Publisher along with the Web Apps. It will link up to 5 other devices and provide users 20GB of SkyDrive storage including the 7GB that comes with a regular Office license.

The new features

Features glued into the new version of Word include Read mode with text reflow, Object Zoom for those tables and updated charts and pictures.

With Excel 2013 expect a new feature called Flash Fill for formatting and the analysis of data.

Coming to Outlook 2013 is Exchange active sync support, more social connectors and a weather bar.

Now, the prices.

The Office 2013 Professional will come in at £390 with Home and Student stocking up at £110, Home and Business will cost £220 and Home Premium will go on sale for £80.

And, of course it is out this year.
