Who uses Mozilla Firefox web-browser? Well, the guys behind that are working on a mobile phone operating system similar to Android and iOS. Today, details have been released. Excited? Scroll down for more!

Firefox OS is basically the result of Mozilla’s Boot 2 Gecko project which is to create a mobile OS from everything the web has to offer. Its a little like Google Chrome OS which is all internet based. Also, this new tech will mean that apps will update automatically through the web and also take down the price of phones.

Its early days at the moment but according to Gizchina, Chinese phone maunfacturer ZTE (the gyts behind Orange Mote Carlo Android smartphone) are apparently working on a phone which will run on the Firefox OS. It will launch with a 3.5-inch screen, a sharp 800x400 res and a 5Mp camera also sporting a 1.5GHz processor.

Its too early to say exactly when the Firefox Phone will go on sale however Mozilla and Telefonica are currently focusing more on South America rather than Europe at the moment.
