  • Prices start at £399.
  • £99.99 for an accessory.
  • Available for pre-order now.

Microsoft have today revealed their pricing for the Surface tablet starting off at £399.

This price puts it side by side with the Apple iPad and is what one could say, interesting. Windows are normally cheaper than Apple however this isn’t the case with the Surface tablet.

The Surface on Windows RT devices is available for pre-order now ahead of Windows 8 launch next Friday.

Available Worldwide

Users in Australia, China, Canada, France, Hong Kong, Germany and United Kingdom can start submitting their pre-orders now.

The company are also offering an optional Touch Cover sprucing up your Windows tablet and available in black, white or cyan however this will set you back another £99.99.

Start pre-ordering here.

The big question is though can Microsoft stand up against stiff competition from Apple and Google?

What else is going on in the Tech World?

  • iPad Mini launch confirmed for October 23rd.
  • Google have been told to change their privacy policy after it apparently violates EU privacy laws.
  • People living in Britain and Canada receive Starbucks  Apple Passbook support.
