Microsoft opens up for Windows 8 pre-orders

Microsoft have opened up for pre-orders on Windows 8.

Companies including ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Samsung and Sony all have hardware available for pre-order.

Pricing has also been revealed for the Dell XPS 12 Windows 8 hybrid costing £999. Also, the XPS One 27 which is an all-in-one Windows 8 touchscreen has got a price as well setting you back £879.

Save Money

All of the above items are very expensive however be sure to get hold of Windows 8 for a much cheaper price if you dismiss the hardware.

Software is out there now and is available for pre-order as well. Pricing starts at around £43 (more like it) for Windows 8 and if you hang onto the release date, 26th October grab yourself an OS upgrade for £25.


What else is going on in the Tech World?

  • Is a launch date revealed for the iPad Mini? Reports are suggesting October 23rd.
  • O2 are experiencing a network issue meaning some users are unable to make/receive calls or send/receive text messages.
  • Amazon have ditched the Kindle Touch in favour for a new, back-lit Kindle Paperwhite e-reader.
