iCloud goes live!

image

Apple have now allowed users to log in with their Apple IDs at www.iCloud.com to take a sneak peak of the interface and a tour round the iCloud.

On your front screen you will find a set of big icons on display for quick access to your Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Find my iPhone and iWork. Have you lost your iPhone or just want to see where it takes you? Well, the page has been redesigned and now resembles a map on top of a ‘wood-effect’ desktop Hmm, why not have a look?

The other buttons you will be able to access however you will be redirected to a webpage suggesting you upgrade to iOS5.

The brand new OS from Apple goes live today and will for sure integrate iCloud allowing you to sync in the background your Calendar, Contacts and any other particular data between all of your iOS5 devices plus the ability to also sync with computers running Mac OS X Lion. Windows support is hopefully on the way via the brand new edition of iTunes.

iCloud offers more such as the advantage of not really having to hook up your iPhone or iPad with a PC/Mac for future backups. You will need to sync with iTunes to manage your media library though but the thing is backups will now run automatically off to the cloud making restoring data no hassle at all.
