It was a terrible week for RIM, the firm behind BlackBerry last week due to a service failure resulting in users not being able to surf the web, catch up on their emails or chat to their friends through BBM for three whole days
As an apology the company will be offering you various premium apps via BlackBerry App World free of charge until the 31st December 2011. The full list is below however don’t get your hopes up just yet because we’re still awaiting for it to be confirmed by RIM very soon we hope! Plus, unfortunately you might not even be eligible for all of the listed apps because it all depends on the type of BlackBerry smartphone you own so for example the OS.
Here’s a message from RIM’s co-chief executive Mike Lazaridis:

"We truly appreciate and value our relationship with our customers. We've worked hard to earn their trust over the past 12 years, and we're committed to providing the high standard of reliability they expect, today and in the future."

Furthermore, It gets better because if you’re a business user you can benefit from a month worth of free technical support as an added bonus, you can’t say that they’re not trying!
Lazaridis went onto say:

"We have apologised to our customers and we will work tirelessly to restore their confidence. We are taking immediate and aggressive steps to help prevent something like this from happening again."
