Sony 3D display to offer non split-screen multi-player mode!

imageFollowing hot on the heels of the launch announcement for the Sony PS Vita, Japanese giant Sony has confirmed details for a new 3D display. It’s capable of a couple of neat tricks – read on to find out more.

3D displays are nothing new, but Sony’s latest panel promises to take gaming to the next level. Capable of displaying more than one 2D image simultaneously, you’ll be able to play multi-player games on the same screen, without the need for split-screen games.

You’ll have to wear glasses to turn the image into 3D, but it seems like a price worth paying to us! Buyers in the US are set to get a free copy of Motorstorm Apocalypse on the PS3, letting them take full advantage of the display’s 3D capabilities, but UK buyers aren’t so fortunate.

Although you won’t get a free game in this country, you will still be offered two free pairs of 3D specs, with £50. The display is set to cost £500.
