The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smartphone launched in October and was the first handset to run on Google’s brand new Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It  also features a 4.65-inch 720p HD screen and dual-core 1.2GHz processor under its hood; it was soon taken off the shelves due to a bug though which affected the in-phone volume even during a call. This problem has now been rectified, it was an issue that was supposedly caused by the phone being used on a 2G frequency.

Today, the two major technology shopping retailers, Clove and Expansys have said that their Galaxy Nexus stock has now been updated to fix the bug.

Expansys later went on to say in a statement:

“The new stock has had a Google approved firmware update applied to it by Samsung’s distributors in order to fix the bug with volume control that affected some original stock.”

Unfortunately at the moment there is still no word on a fix for current Samsung Galaxy Nexus handsets.
