BlackBerry BBX smartphones are to receive a brand new design

BlackBerry BBX is the new OS and will be running on brand new smartphones due to be launched next year. The new design change will very much resemble the company’s tablet, the PlayBook and could even come without a qwerty keyboard!

The new smartphones will furthermore feature a 16:9 screen ratio and come with a pretty awesome screen resolution of 1024x600 pixels meaning you gamers and movie addicts should have a field day.

Something Apple have already established with BlackBerry following in their footsteps is universal apps, meaning applications available on the PlayBook will also be readily available on the smartphone.

The first new BlackBerry smartphone to run BBX is rumoured to be called BlackBerry Colt – a device without a keypad in sight.

Surely, this can’t happen! BlackBerry are worldwide known for the legendary qwerty keyboard, this can’t fade out can it?
