Twitter’s 6 Second Vine goes live

vine_logo-580-75

Twitter revealed a brand new video-sharing app last night which was demonstrated by CEO and founder Dick Costolo embedding the new tech in just one tweet.

It is only available on iOS at the moment – hopefully it will branch out shortly though. But, as with Twitter’s 140 characters limit Vine brings a whole new restriction and this is only 6 seconds of film.

How do I use it?

  • Simply hold the recording button down, lift it off to stop.
  • You can then save the video to your Apple device or alternatively share it through Twitter itself, Vine or Facebook.

The video will not open an external window.

Its out there now so why not give it a go? Its absolutely free only if you have an Apple device though.

What else is going on in the Tech World?

  • First off, Samsung are setting their sale targets high with the Galaxy S4.
  • More Samsung now, a figure out today revealed that they sold 63 million phones in three months.
  • BBC Sport app is updated.
  • And, bad news for some – Virgin’s London Underground Wi-Fi service will no longer be free for all from next week.
