PlayStation Vita Crystal White edition unveiled by Sony

PlayStation Vita Crystal White edition unveiled by Sony

When the PlayStation Vita first launched you could have Sony’s new handheld in any colour you wished, as long as it was black. Not anymore. From June 28th Sony will launch a Crystal White Playstation Vita in both Wi-Fi and 3G versions. Read on for how much and where to get your hands on the Crystal White edition Playstation Vita.

There is a slight catch, mind. For the Crystal White PlayStation Vita (see it here) will first be arriving in Japan. A Wi-Fi model will cost around £194, with the 3G model priced at £233. That is, according to Japanese price conversions. We hope the figure of both will be somewhat different should the Crystal White PlayStation Vita reach the UK.

On Amazon a black Wi-Fi only PlayStation Vita fetches £180. A 3G model costs £210. Fans of gadgets plastered in white should be able to import straight from Japan – after all, it is how many here in the UK first got their hands on the existing PlayStation Vita. All that’s left to do is to decide whether a white model warrants the extra cost.

Things have been a little quiet in terms of new PlayStation Vita game launches, but new services such as the recent launch of Skype for the handheld gives some extra incentive to pick one up
