Some may say the Nintendo 3DS is pretty cheap as it is but now the company have confirmed that during the middle of next month prices will drop to a new all time low meaning it will cost the Japanese company more to manufacture the consoles than it does to buy them. Good for us!
Those living in the US will see prices drop from $249 to $170 which puts Nintendo and Sony side by side with the PS3 also sold at a loss.
What’s my view?
This sounds interesting. I can’t believe that Nintendo are going to live with making a loss on their 3DS console however having said that Sony seem to get by. Anyway, this makes me believe that we can expect a price rise with the 3DS games over the forthcoming months, that to me ‘would defeat the object of the game’.
