One of the things about going on holiday abroad is wondering whether to take a spare holiday phone, or arrange for temporary changes to your services.

Whatever your method of dealing with taking your phone abroad, any such decision could, Samsung suggests be made easier with the Samsung Star 3 and Samsung Star 3 DUOS. The latter of which has dual-SIM functionality. Read on for the rest of its features.

The Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS are more entry-level handsets than the more advanced smartphones you’ll see released from Samsung. But, for holiday-makers, they have all the basic tools.

Features of the Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS include a 3-inch QVGA display, 3-megapixel rear-facing camera, 3G and Samsung’s TouchWiz operating system – so no Android here.

What the Samsung Star 3 DUOS does have, though, is the ability to use two SIM cards. Of course you wouldn’t have to go on holiday to justify owning one – you could use it as your primary phone, with one SIM for personal use, the other for work.

The Samsung Star 3 and Samsung Star 3 DUOS will be launching in Russia at the end of the month, before in Europe and the rest of the world shortly after.
