Panasonic has entered the realm of gadget record-breakers with the Panasonic Lumix ZS20 digital compact camera. Panasonic claims it is the world’s thinnest 20x zoom camera.

The latest in the Lumix range has of course more to offer than model-like proportions: it also has a pretty good feature set that we’re sure many looking for a new camera will want to get their hands on when the Panasonic Lumix ZS20 goes on sale in March.

The Panasonic Lumix range has always proved popular, and the Panasonic Lumix ZS20 will shortly be joining them. The Panasonic Lumix ZS20 features a Leica ultra-wide-angle 24mm lens that extends to 480mm inside a body measuring just 1.1-inches thick.

The sensor inside is a 14-megapixel High Sensitivity MOS sensor. Its image processor delivers burst shooting at 10 frames per second, and capture full high definition video.

Other features and extras include the 3-inch LCD screen around the back, USB charging and built-in GPS mapping. The maps come bundled on a DVD, and can optionally be installed on the Panasonic Lumix ZS20, should you need them.

The Panasonic Lumix ZS20 will arrive in shops in March for around $349.99 (£222) in black, red, white, and silver options.
