“Nokia handset will be coming to market with Mango.”Figures reveal that Microsoft currently only share 4% of the smartphone share market. Also, according to particular figures taken from analyst firm Gartner, Google Android system currently accounts for 36% which is followed by Apple which stands at 17%. However, with assistance from Nokia this could all change for Microsoft with predications of an increase of the market share to 19.5% by 2015.
This is what Andy Lees, President of the Mobile Communications Business at Microsoft said:
“With Mango, Windows Phone takes a major step forward in redefining how people communicate and use apps and the Internet, giving you better results with less effort.”The update will be free to all users of Windows Phone 7 this Autumn.
