YouTube is elaborating on how they share video with their users by launching a live-streaming service.
The site have also recently created a brand new page where users are able to find various listings of live events.
Viewers of YouTube were able to watch live Indian Premier League Cricket and a Stanford University lecture on Monday afternoon.
Unfortunately not just anyone can stream live to the website at this moment of time. The company are closely working with some chosen partners,YouTube are hoping to make the list bigger.
Posted in YouTube’s blog was:
"We'll also start gradually rolling out our live streaming beta platform, which will allow certain YouTube partners with accounts in good standing to stream live content on YouTube."
