New music streaming service from Apple to take on Spotify.
Apple are to hit us with a new music streaming service next week which could change how you listen to your music on your portable devices e.g. iPod or iPhone. iCloud is the name of the new service and its set to be officially unveiled next Monday, 6th June 2011.
iCloud will work by scanning your hard drive and then letting you play the same songs that are already on your hard drive but on your portable device through an online replicate.
Apple already has music labels, Sony, EMI, and Warner Music interested but its not enough to replace your whole music library by far.
There’s already a variety of songs available to us on iTunes so hopefully Apple will be able to offer a similar collection of music for iCloud.
